Nanowrimo

I am aiming at 5 different novels this year, and that way I might drag one over the finish line. I have only ever finished one actual target of 50,000 in a month, but I have several novels fairly far along in the process after launching them during Nano. The finishing isn’t necessarily the important part for me, though it would be nice; the start definitely occupies a big place.

Last year I think I pretty much came up with titles and crapped out from the start. This year I was training up, doing 5,000 words of freelance copywriting everyday, so it should be a cinch, right?

Trying to get different ideas that test different writing muscles, and allow me to step round impasses is a great thing, and is a tactic I employ in my daily writing anyway. Is attempting 250,000 words in a month nuts? Maybe, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t doable.
