people feel it is something you have to do
to represent your country oversees
thinking about the people an action frees
hoping to make the world a better place
something that’s marked the progress of the human race

i have thought about it for hours
a viewpoint i’m always looking to refine
war, what is it good for?
you have to agree, but people are the flaw
